New Age Feminism

Smiling around men, unfortunately but true, was part of the drill, regardless of what was happening. Yes, this means that I’ve grinned straight through some legit #metoo bullshit! And I know I’m not alone. #metoo has ignited a fierce rage in me for all the times I should have said no! or stop! but also a curiosity about the societal behavior that perpetuates this unequal power dynamic. I wonder if the conversation we should be having is one about corruption and power vs hanging the perverts out on a line one by one. It seems like we need to scrutinize and dismantle the system that allowed this harassment to take place. What do you think?
